Removal quotations in Alicante: what to include and compare
A full removal and street-level transport are different services. Prepare your move details and compare quotations covering the same work.
Compare businesses in the ranking →Start with an inventory and two addresses
Describe what needs moving and between which addresses: furniture, appliances, boxes and items needing special handling. Include dimensions of larger pieces and photos. Do not estimate a move from room count alone: two homes of the same size can contain very different volumes.
Give your intended date and any flexibility. Explain whether items will go into storage or to several destinations. The Alicante removals and transport ranking helps you compare providers before sending the same enquiry to those suited to your move.
Full removals or transport only: compare the same service
Ask who packs boxes, protects furniture, dismantles it and reassembles it. Say whether packaging should be removed afterwards. Loading, transport and carrying items indoors should be described: a broad phrase such as “transport included” may conceal differences in scope.
Trasteros Williams, for example, advertises street-level collection and delivery of belongings already packed. This meets a different need from a full removal service. Before comparing prices, make sure all proposals cover the same job.
Access, stairs and furniture lifts
Provide the floor, usable lift dimensions, stairs and distance to the vehicle’s parking position. Include both collection and delivery addresses. For a large sofa, table or wardrobe, do not assume it will fit because it is already inside your current home.
Agustrans and El Mudancero describe lifting platforms or furniture lifts. Ask whether one is viable at your building and how much it adds. Agree who checks access and handles any space reservations or permissions needed. Request all associated costs in writing before the move.
Which items the quotation should separate
- Inventory and estimated volume.
- Packing, materials and protection.
- Dismantling and assembly, with furniture identified.
- Loading, transport, unloading and carrying indoors.
- Lifts, special access and travel.
- Temporary storage and later delivery, if required.
- Taxes, total, deposit and change conditions.
Ask about insurance scope, limits and how incidents are documented. “Insured” does not mean every item or circumstance is covered. Keep the agreed inventory and ask which assumptions could change the price.
When storage or shared transport is needed
For storage, request the facility address, inventory procedure, access conditions, duration and return cost. Separate inward and outward transport from the storage fee. Compare self-storage and storage services in L’Alacantí too: a unit you access yourself may operate differently from custody managed by a removal company.
For shared loads, confirm collection and delivery windows and what happens if they change. For international moves, ask what documents will be requested and which tasks each party handles. Do not assume every route follows the same timetable.
A message for comparable quotations
Keep replies and confirm changes in writing. If furnishing your new home, explore Alicante furniture stores and coordinate deliveries with the move to avoid clashes.
