How to choose a coworking space in Alicante for your working routine
Start with a realistic working week: how often you will visit, how many calls you make and whether you receive clients. Then compare the plans, location and full cost of using each space.
Compare businesses in the ranking →Describe a working week before comparing prices
List days, hours and tasks. Someone needing two mornings does not use a space in the same way as a team with daily meetings. Separate focused work, calls and face-to-face appointments. If you alternate between home and the office, ask about individual days or bundles and what happens to unused days.
For a temporary stay in Alicante, give exact dates and ask whether a plan can start mid-month. For regular use, consider storing a monitor, keyboard or paperwork and keeping the same desk. Make this list first so a plan’s name does not become a substitute for understanding its terms.
Compare the arrangement as well as the price
| Arrangement to ask about | Details to clarify |
|---|---|
| Daily or hourly pass | Access window, advance booking and leaving and returning. |
| Flexible desk | Desk availability and allocation on busy days. |
| Fixed desk | Equipment you can leave, storage and access to your desk. |
| Private office | Actual capacity, privacy, visitors and team expansion. |
| Virtual office | Address and mail services, plus physical access if required. |
Not every centre offers every option. A virtual office and a working desk serve different needs; ask whether they are separate services. Use our ranking of eight Alicante coworking spaces to find options and inspect their sources.
Two local examples to start your comparison
ULab Ideas Meeting Point lists coworking, private offices, meeting rooms and virtual office services at Plaza San Cristóbal. Pixel Coworking, on Manuel Antón, lists daily passes, weekly and monthly plans, a meeting room and a private office. These are published offers, not a comparison based on personal experience.
Ask which arrangement is available on your dates and which services belong to it. A meeting room’s existence does not establish that room hours are included. A published location does not confirm every plan’s access schedule either.
Test the journey and visit during your usual hours
Compare the route from your home and the places clients will travel from, rather than distance alone. For public transport, check current routes and timetables for your working days. If driving, investigate parking and include that cost. Neither option should be assumed to be part of a membership.
On a visit, ask to see where you would work and take calls. Check noise, light, air conditioning, sockets and desk size. Try a video call if permitted and ask about connectivity, outages and alternatives. For confidential conversations, discuss an appropriate bookable space rather than assuming an open area is private.
Calculate the full cost for a month like yours
Request the fee, taxes, any joining charge or deposit, minimum term and cancellation notice in writing. Add services you will actually use: meeting rooms, storage, printing or access outside the main hours. Ask how visitors are charged and whether you can change plans when your routine changes.
For example, compare eight working days and two meetings at both centres. We do not publish an average price because plans have different scopes. A lower headline fee may cover fewer hours or require extras your work depends on.
For recurring meetings, check booking notice, cancellation terms, equipment and room capacity. Establish whether a client can join you at your regular desk or requires a room. That distinction affects both cost and scheduling.
Clarify virtual office services separately
Explain what you need the address for and ask about receipt, notifications, collection or forwarding of mail and parcel costs. Confirm what documents the centre supplies and what happens when the contract ends. For a specific registration, check its requirements with the person handling it before committing.
If you are staying from another country, ask which language the centre uses for enquiries and how mail will be handled while you are away. Do not assume a virtual office includes desks, meeting rooms or telephone answering.
For an extended stay, check how you can authorise someone to collect correspondence and what happens to items arriving after departure. Describe the actual need to the provider instead of choosing a package only because it mentions a business address.
Use a short brief to arrange the visit
After visiting, compare the answers against your working week. Keep the chosen plan’s terms and confirm availability again before paying.
Frequently asked questions
Fixed or flexible desk?
Compare desk continuity, storage and your real attendance. Ask how a flexible plan ensures a desk and what you can leave at a fixed one.
Do frequent calls mean I need an office?
First check the call policy, available spaces and booking process. Privacy, length and frequency matter alongside the number of meetings.
Are San Vicente and Elche included?
This guide and its ranking cover Alicante city. Check the municipality of any other space you find so you compare realistic journeys.
Published prices: an example with different services
WAO publishes a fixed desk at €190 + VAT per month, private offices from €480 + VAT per month and meeting rooms from €18.20 + VAT per hour. These are that centre’s advertised prices, checked on 5 October 2026; they are neither an Alicante average nor an AlicanteTop offer.
Before budgeting with these amounts, confirm availability, office capacity, inclusions and terms. Define the number of working days and meetings you need before comparing an hourly room with a monthly desk membership.
Separate recurring costs from the initial payment
Compare the same month’s membership fee, tax and extras: rooms, printing, storage or additional access only when excluded. Record joining charges, deposits and advance payments separately. Ask about deposit return conditions rather than treating a deposit as a monthly fee.
24/7 access and reception hours
Maison 9 advertises 24/7 access on its group website. Confirm which plans qualify and how guests enter. Member access and staffed reception hours are different facts; ask about both if working late or receiving clients.
